Wakefield Day Nursery is proud to be the sister nursery of Ossett Childcare & Preschool, which has been providing high-quality childcare and early education since 2014, and Cliff Hill Day Nursery, established in 2019. Together, our nurseries bring years of experience, knowledge and dedication to supporting children and their families.
Conveniently located just a five-minute walk from Wakefield Westgate railway station, our nursery is set within a beautiful Grade II listed Victorian building, providing a welcoming and characterful environment in which children can learn, play and grow.
We provide care and early education for children aged 5 months to 5 years, supported by a dedicated and highly qualified team. Our practitioners are carefully recruited in accordance with safer recruitment practices and the guidance of the Wakefield Safeguarding Children Partnership, helping us to maintain a safe, secure and nurturing environment for every child.
At Wakefield Day Nursery, we believe that every child is unique. Our child-centred approach provides children with opportunities to explore their interests, develop their curiosity and learn at their own pace through meaningful, play-based experiences.
We work closely with families to understand each child's individual needs, interests and stage of development. Through personalised care, positive relationships and engaging learning opportunities, we support children in developing confidence, independence, communication and essential social skills, while ensuring their nursery experience is happy, stimulating and full of opportunities to flourish.
